Afternoon Devotion — July 1, 2025
Title: Trusting in God’s Timing
Bible Verse:
“He has made everything beautiful in its time.” — Ecclesiastes 3:11 (NIV)
As we come to the midpoint of the day and the midpoint of a brand-new month, let this moment remind you to take a deep breath, unwind, and re-align your heart to the divine timing of God.
So often, we desire all things to happen immediately. We pray and wait for instant answers. We prepare and expect instant results. But God is on a divine schedule, not a human one. His timing is not necessarily our timing, but it is always perfect.
Ecclesiastes 3:11 reminds us that everything, not some things, not the good things, but everything, is made beautiful in its time, not our time. That includes your dreams, relationships, career, and even your waiting seasons.
This afternoon, when the sun bears down upon a new month and a new day, breathe deeply and be peaceful in the understanding that God is never late. You are not behind time. He is guiding all things in your life, even the things you cannot see.
New Month Wishes:
Hello July!
May this month shine light on your questions, joy in your waiting, and loveliness where you least expect it. May you step into divine alignment with God’s plan and have rest for your soul. You will not miss your season—God is making all things beautiful for you!
Reflection:
- Are you waiting on something from God currently?
- How have you been managing delays or disappointments?
- What would it really be like to trust God’s timing this month?
Ask yourself: Am I more worried about the outcome than God’s presence in the process?
Prayer:
Dear heavenly Father, thank You for reminding me today afternoon that Your timing is perfect. As I step into this new month, help me rest in Your plans and not forge ahead. Teach me patience and trust. Where I’ve been exhausted or discouraged, restore my strength and fill me with peace. I say this month will not be wasted—You are making all things beautiful in their time. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
Happy New Month!
May the sun in the afternoon remind you that God is still active, even at the midpoint of your day and midpoint of your journey. Keep waiting. Keep trusting. He is faithful.
