Mohamed Salah wasted no time in getting on social media celebrating Liverpool’s hard-fought 2-1 victory over Wolves, the moment the final whistle was blown. The Reds pushed further top of the Premier League table with the win at Anfield on Sunday afternoon.

Luis Diaz scores

Luis Diaz started the scoring in the first half, and Salah doubled the lead from the spot. The Egyptian thought he had a brace, but his second goal was disallowed for being offside.

Wolves responded with Matheus Cunha to create a thrilling finish, but Liverpool held on to secure all three points.

Following the game, Salah uploaded a picture in the home dressing room, grinning with Diaz—a tradition he has maintained all through the campaign.

The forward generally uploads images with Liverpool’s other goal scorers after a match, and if he is the only man on the scoresheet, he uploads a lone picture instead.

With his goal against Wolves, Salah now has 28 goals across competitions this season, 23 in the Premier League—four more than Erling Haaland in the Golden Boot race.

Liverpool’s next challenge is on Wednesday night against Aston Villa. Winning at Villa Park would leave them 10 points clear of Arsenal ahead of games on Saturday.
