Fully Funded Hungarian Scholarships 2025-26 at the University of Pecs in Hungary

The Hungarian Government has decided to encourage higher learning internationally by offering 5,000 fully-funded scholarships for the next academic session via the Stipendium Hungaricum Scholarship Program. A wide field of higher learning will be targeted by these scholarships and is intended to see the student through his or her entire learning in Hungary.

Academic Fields and Program Duration

Bachelor’s degree: 4 years
Master’s degree: 2 years

Financial Benefits

Waiving of Tuition Fee: Tuition fees will be exempted for all selected students.

Monthly Stipend:

In case of non-degree, bachelor’s, master’s, and one-tier master’s studies: HUF 43,700 per month
In case of PhD studies: HUF 140,000 per month
Accommodation Contribution: Either dormitory placement or, in case this is not possible, a contribution to
accommodation costs with HUF 40,000 per month.
Medical Insurance: Healthcare services according to the Hungarian legislation, with supplementary medical
insurance up to HUF 100 000 per year.

Eligibility Criteria

Applicants for the University of Pécs Hungarian Scholarships must meet the following conditions for eligibility:

An international student – a non-Hungarian citizen
Physically and mentally fit
Finish 12 years of schooling for undergraduate application
Bachelor’s degree for master’s application
Master’s degree for doctoral application
Proof of English proficiency – if the previous education was in English.
