Overview of the Irish Government Scholarship
The Government of Ireland International Education Scholarship is a prestigious scheme supported by the GOI-IES and the Department of Further and Higher Education. Encompassing most fields and areas of academic study, its goal is to lure superlative students into achieving higher education in leading higher education institutions of Ireland for international learning experiences.
Key Benefits
Recipients of the Irish Government Scholarship will receive:
- An annual allowance of €18,500
- Complete tuition fee and registration cost waiver.
- Eligibility for one of the following study durations:
- The final year of an undergraduate program.
- One year of a taught Master’s program.
- One year of a research program (e.g., a 2-year research Master’s or a 3-4 year PhD program).

Eligibility Criteria
To be eligible for the Irish Government GOIIES Scholarship, applicants must:
- Have a Non-EU/EEA Status.
- Demonstrate Excellent Academic Background.
- Excellent Communication Skill.
- Must be able to start in September/October 2024. The later start will be considered in exceptional cases for
- PhD Awardees.
