Application into the Austrian Development Scholarships, 2025-26, is now open to offer students from developing countries an opportunity to study higher education in Austria without having to bear any financial burdens.

Funded by the Austrian Development Cooperation (ADC), scholarships are made available for students seeking a diploma from the Institute of Tourism and Hotel Management.

The Austrian Development Scholarships enable students from all over the world, but mainly from developing countries, to access quality education in tourism and hospitality studies. The scholarship covers most of the essential academic costs but also provides support for living and travel expenses, thus giving comprehensive support toward studying abroad.

Scholarship Benefits

The scholarships are categorized into two: Fully Funded for ADC priority countries and Partially Funded for other developing countries.

For Students from ADC Countries:

  • Tuition fees
  • Accommodation
  • Allowance of €205 per month
  • Flight tickets to Austria and back home
  • Health insurance
  • Meals seven days a week (Monday to Sunday)
  • Excursions, excluding the ITB Berlin field trip

For Students from Other Developing Countries:

  • Tuition fees
  • Allowance of €205 per month
  • Health insurance
  • Meals provided five days a week from Monday to Friday
  • Trips included in the program – excluding ITB Berlin
  • Please note that in this category, accommodation, flight tickets, and visa costs are not included.

Available Study Fields

The diploma courses can be studied in the following fields:

  1. Hospitality Management
  2. Tourism Management

These fields have been customised to provide students with the knowledge and skills they need to succeed in the global tourism and hospitality industries.

Eligibility Criteria

Applicants for the Austrian Development Scholarships must meet the following criteria:

  • Must be a citizen of an ADC priority country or an eligible developing country.
  • Must be aged between 18 and 35 years.
  • Must meet specific eligibility criteria for the selected course.

Eligible Countries

ADC Priority Countries:
Countries include Ethiopia, Uganda, Burkina Faso, Mozambique, Bhutan, Palestinian Territories, Georgia, Armenia, and Moldova.

Other Developing Countries:
This list encompasses countries like Afghanistan, Bangladesh, Ghana, India, Indonesia, Nigeria, Pakistan, and many others.
