Kingdom of Righteousness 4 Ever

Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest.

Meghan Markle’s highly anticipated lifestyle show has finally been launched on Netflix, but the response has not been one that she maybe hoped for.

While her loyal fan base, the Sussex Squad, have given the show warm accolades, both sides of the Atlantic’s critics have been much less complimentary, calling *With Love, Meghan* “dull,” “phony,” and “unreal.” The show has a low rating on Rotten Tomatoes, and critics have called it “utterly unrelatable” and “sanctimonious twaddle.”

Following on from previous Sussex efforts on Netflix, which produced varying returns, Meghan’s show had big expectations. Some think that she had to be more revealing about her life—more so, at least, than Prince Harry had felt comfortable sharing.

Royal journalist Rhiannon Mills told *Sky News* that Netflix likely prompted Meghan to be more candid, drawing comparisons to the extent to which Harry had had to disclose extremely personal details in his book *Spare*.

I believe Meghan, with this show, probably gave more than Harry would have wanted her to,” Mills explained.

But opinions remain divided on whether Meghan actually opened up. While some fans loved her being honest with friends, critics insisted that the show was staged—pointing out that it wasn’t even filmed within the Sussexes’ real home.

Meghan did speak about her children, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet, but in passing, calling it a “luxury” to have time with them and balance work and everyday life. Whether this level of personal disclosure was enough to satisfy audiences’ appetites—or Netflix’s—is to be seen.
