3D Artists & Video Editors at Mercor
Mercor is recruiting skilled 3D artists and video editors with 2–3 years of professional or freelance experience, as well as postgraduate students currently studying film, animation, or digital media, for a research project with a leading artificial intelligence (AI) laboratory.
Selected candidates will use their own Mac computers to complete practical 3D production and video editing assignments.
Their work will help evaluate, train, and improve advanced AI models by demonstrating real-world creative production processes.
Qualifications and Requirements
- Mandatory Computer Requirement: Applicants must own a MacBook or Mac computer with an Apple M-series chip or Intel processor running macOS 15 or later. Candidates without a compatible Mac will not be considered.
- Proficiency in creative software such as Blender, Cinema 4D, Maya, Final Cut Pro, Adobe Premiere Pro, DaVinci Resolve, or After Effects.
- Practical experience in 3D modelling, texturing, animation, video editing, colour grading, or motion graphics. A professional portfolio or showreel is an added advantage.
- Currently pursuing or recently completed postgraduate studies, or possess 2–3 years of relevant professional experience alongside a bachelor’s degree from a reputable institution.
- Ability to communicate and explain creative decisions and technical processes while working.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Job Details and Responsibilities
- Work Arrangement: Fully Remote.
- Employment Type: Part-Time Independent Contract.
- Weekly Commitment: Approximately 10–20 hours.
- Complete practical 3D modelling, animation, and video editing assignments using your own Mac.
- Explain and document creative workflows to generate high-quality training data for advanced AI systems.
- Follow clearly defined project instructions and deliverables in a structured working environment.
- Begin work immediately if selected and available.

- Payments are made weekly through Stripe or Wise, based on completed services.
