We are currently recruiting suitably qualified candidates for the position below:

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the Factory Manager in overseeing daily factory operations and production activities.
  • Supervise and coordinate production employees to maintain an efficient workflow and achieve established production targets.
  • Monitor manufacturing processes to ensure finished products comply with required quality, food safety, and hygiene standards.
  • Assist with production planning, scheduling, and the effective allocation of personnel, equipment, and materials.
  • Monitor the utilization of raw materials and packaging supplies to minimize waste and reduce production losses.
  • Collaborate with the maintenance team to ensure machinery and production equipment remain functional and properly maintained.
  • Identify production bottlenecks and operational challenges and assist in implementing appropriate corrective measures.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), food safety procedures, and workplace health and safety standards.
  • Maintain accurate production records, inventory information, operational reports, and other relevant factory documentation.
  • Support employee training, performance monitoring, discipline, and workforce development.
  • Work closely with procurement and warehouse teams to ensure raw materials and packaging supplies are available when required.
  • Ensure high standards of factory cleanliness, sanitation, and general housekeeping are maintained.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives designed to increase productivity, reduce operational costs, minimize waste, and maintain consistent product quality.
  • Prepare regular production reports and operational updates for the Factory Manager and management team.
  • Represent the Factory Manager when necessary and ensure smooth continuation of factory operations during their absence.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree or HND in Food Science, Food Technology, Industrial Production, Engineering, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
  • Approximately 3–5 years of relevant experience in food production, confectionery, FMCG, or manufacturing operations.
  • Previous supervisory or management experience is preferred.
  • Experience working within a regulated food-production environment will be an added advantage.

Required Skills and Competencies

The ideal candidate should possess strong leadership and people-management abilities with the capacity to supervise employees and maintain an organized production environment.
