The ideal candidate can take technical or business-focused information and turn it into engaging newsletters that feel relevant, useful, and human to enterprise audiences.

In this role, you’ll create newsletters designed to go beyond simply delivering updates. Your content should capture attention, strengthen relationships, encourage engagement, and give readers a reason to keep opening future editions.

You’ll write for an audience that includes business leaders, technology decision-makers, clients, prospects, and industry professionals.

Much of the content will focus on WordPress, Frappe/ERPNext, open-source technologies, enterprise digital experiences, and business automation.

Your work will help demonstrate how open-source solutions are being used to solve real business challenges and support modern organizations.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Develop a strong understanding of rtCamp’s brand, services, solutions, customers, and the value the company provides to enterprise organizations.
  2. Plan, write, edit, and improve B2B newsletters that provide meaningful information rather than simply filling inboxes. Each edition should educate, engage, or offer useful insight to readers.
  3. Work closely with marketing, sales, and delivery teams to identify interesting company developments, client stories, industry trends, project insights, and other topics worth sharing with the audience.
  4. Transform existing materials—including blog posts, case studies, research, company updates, and thought-leadership content—into fresh and engaging newsletter stories.
  5. Adapt and personalize messaging for different audience segments, including technology leaders considering digital transformation and marketing professionals evaluating enterprise solutions.
  6. Monitor newsletter performance using metrics such as open rates, click-through rates, and overall engagement. Use these insights to continuously improve topics, formats, messaging, and content strategy.
  7. Maintain a consistent brand voice across every newsletter. The writing style, structure, messaging, and presentation should remain aligned with rtCamp’s identity.
  8. Follow developments across enterprise technology, WordPress, open-source software, Frappe/ERPNext, digital experiences, and related industries to identify timely and relevant topics.
  9. Collaborate with designers to ensure visuals, layouts, formatting, and calls to action complement the content and improve the reading experience.
  10. Explore different newsletter formats, including editorial editions, industry deep dives, event summaries, company updates, thought-leadership pieces, and short case studies.

What We’re Looking For

You’re encouraged to apply even if you don’t meet every requirement, particularly if you have strong experience in a specific area relevant to the role.

  1. At least 2 years of experience producing newsletters, editorial content, or similar materials for B2B or enterprise audiences. A portfolio demonstrating previous work, campaign results, audience engagement, or measurable outcomes is strongly preferred.
  2. Familiarity with WordPress, Frappe/ERPNext, open-source technology, custom software development, or related technical industries. Candidates who can quickly learn complex technical subjects are also encouraged to apply.
  3. Strong storytelling ability and editorial judgment, with a clear understanding of how to structure content that encourages readers to continue reading, click through, and return for future editions.
  4. Excellent written English and the ability to comfortably move between professional, conversational, educational, and thought-leadership styles depending on the audience.
  5. Practical experience working with email and newsletter platforms such as Mailchimp, HubSpot, Brevo, or LinkedIn Newsletters.
  6. A data-informed approach to content creation, including the ability to interpret engagement metrics and use performance insights to improve future campaigns.
  7. A solid understanding of digital marketing, B2B customer journeys, audience behavior, and content strategies that can support both brand awareness and meaningful action.

Good to Have

Experience creating content for technology companies, SaaS businesses, software agencies, or open-source organizations would be an advantage.

Knowledge of CRM systems, lead-nurturing workflows, and the role newsletters can play throughout the customer journey is also valuable.

Having your own newsletter, Substack, blog, or another publishing platform that demonstrates your writing style and editorial abilities is a plus.

Previous experience working collaboratively within an agency, enterprise marketing team, or multidisciplinary content environment would also be beneficial.
