Job Description

Tongyi Allied Mining Limited is looking for a responsible, disciplined, and well-organized Chinese Kitchen Assistant to support daily kitchen operations and food preparation activities.

The successful candidate will assist in preparing Chinese dishes, particularly steamed buns and dumplings, while ensuring that the kitchen remains clean, hygienic, and properly organized.

Applicants should have practical food preparation skills, pay attention to detail, and demonstrate a strong commitment to maintaining food safety and cleanliness standards.

The ideal candidate must also be hardworking, punctual, and capable of following instructions while working effectively with other kitchen staff.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist with daily food preparation and general kitchen activities.
• Wash, peel, slice, chop, and properly arrange ingredients for cooking.
• Prepare Chinese steamed buns, dumplings, and other assigned dishes.
• Maintain high standards of cleanliness and hygiene throughout the kitchen.
• Clean and sanitize cooking utensils, equipment, countertops, and food preparation areas.
• Handle kitchen tools, appliances, and food ingredients safely and responsibly.
• Follow established kitchen procedures and instructions from supervisors.
• Ensure ingredients and kitchen supplies are properly handled to minimize waste.
• Support other kitchen staff in completing daily cooking and cleaning tasks.
• Maintain an organized and safe working environment.

Requirements and Qualifications

• Applicants must possess a minimum of a National Diploma (OND).
• A Diploma or Certificate in Catering, Hospitality Management, or a related discipline will be an added advantage.
• Previous experience working in a kitchen or food preparation environment is desirable.
• Must have practical knowledge of preparing Chinese steamed buns and dumplings.
• Good knife-handling, cutting, chopping, and general food preparation skills.
• Basic understanding of kitchen hygiene, sanitation, and food safety practices.
• Must be honest, disciplined, punctual, hardworking, and willing to follow instructions.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Willingness to learn new cooking techniques and kitchen procedures.
• Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively with other kitchen staff.
• Male candidates are preferred for this position.

Salary and Benefits

The company offers a monthly salary ranging from ₦150,000 to ₦180,000, depending on the candidate’s qualifications and experience.

In addition to the monthly salary, accommodation will be provided for the successful candidate.
