Content Creator at SericaVPN
SericaVPN is looking for a creative and proactive Social Media Manager to represent the brand across its social media platforms.
You are the voice of SericaVPN online. Your job is to show up consistently across our social channels, grow a real community, and make digital privacy feel relevant to people who don’t think they care yet.
This is a flexible freelance contract that gives you complete control over your schedule. There are no mandatory meetings or fixed working hours.
You will be responsible for managing your time, delivering quality content, and achieving measurable results.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and expand SericaVPN’s presence on Twitter/X, LinkedIn, and TikTok.
- Create and publish engaging content consistently, including threads, carousels, short posts, and short-form videos.
- Monitor comments, direct messages, and brand mentions, responding in ways that encourage meaningful conversations and build lasting relationships.
- Identify and contact micro and mid-tier content creators with 5,000–100,000 followers to explore collaborations and VPN promotion opportunities.
- Design attractive, brand-aligned graphics using Canva while maintaining SericaVPN’s visual identity.
- Create short-form videos for TikTok and Instagram Reels using talking-head footage, screen recordings, simple animations, or other suitable formats.
- Monitor weekly social media performance, identify successful strategies, and recommend improvements based on engagement and growth metrics.
What We’re Looking For
- Strong familiarity with Twitter/X, LinkedIn, and TikTok, including the unique tone, trends, and culture of each platform.
- Excellent written English and the ability to communicate clearly and professionally with team members.
- Experience using AI tools such as ChatGPT or Claude to improve productivity while ensuring content remains natural, engaging, and authentic.
- A good eye for design and the ability to maintain consistent branding across different content formats.
- Strong community management skills, including the ability to encourage discussions and build genuine audience relationships.
- Excellent organizational skills, reliability, and the ability to work independently without constant supervision.
- Experience with Canva or similar graphic design tools.
- Basic short-form video editing skills using CapCut, Premiere Rush, or comparable software.
- Previous experience in technology, online privacy, cybersecurity, or audience education is an advantage.
No technical or engineering background is required. We’re looking for someone who knows how to capture attention, communicate ideas effectively, and make people genuinely interested in digital privacy.
Your First 90 Days
During your first three months, you will work toward delivering the following milestones:
- Develop an updated content calendar for Twitter/X, LinkedIn, and TikTok.
- Initiate at least three influencer conversations and secure at least one confirmed partnership.
- Establish a consistent publishing schedule and demonstrate visible engagement growth across all three platforms.
- Launch a short-form video series featuring at least three videos that introduce SericaVPN to new audiences.
About the Role
This is a freelance contract, not a traditional full-time position. You will have the freedom to choose your working hours, with no mandatory meetings, daily check-ins, or unnecessary micromanagement.
You will be evaluated on the quality and consistency of your content, the strength of the community you build, and the results you achieve.
Applications are welcome from candidates worldwide. Most of the team is based in Asia, working across UTC+7 to UTC+12, making applicants in those time zones a natural fit for asynchronous collaboration. However, this is not a strict requirement.
SericaVPN’s primary audiences are in Europe, the United States, and Australia, so your content should be tailored to Western audiences. Fluency in written and spoken English is essential.
This opportunity is well suited to students, freelancers, and individuals with practical social media experience gained through personal accounts, independent projects, or previous client work.
A strong portfolio, examples of content you have created, or links to social accounts you have grown will carry more weight than job titles on your résumé.
How to Apply
No formal cover letter is required, and lengthy AI-generated applications are discouraged.
To apply, submit:
- A clear, up-to-date résumé.
- A short email of 2–5 sentences explaining why you are interested in the position and what skills or experience you would bring to the team.
- Links to your portfolio, social media accounts you have managed or grown, or examples of content you have created, if available.
