This position requires strong analytical thinking, technical expertise, and the ability to transform large volumes of content data into practical business recommendations.
You will evaluate website content performance, identify opportunities for improvement, develop content strategies, and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to enhance digital experiences.
The role also involves leading assigned project activities, presenting findings directly to clients, and developing customized tools or workflows when existing solutions cannot adequately meet project requirements.
You will work closely with Velir’s content strategy leadership, designers, developers, and client stakeholders. Each project will include defined objectives, structured briefings, and scheduled review checkpoints to ensure quality and alignment.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive content audits across large enterprise websites using website crawling tools, analytics platforms, SEO research, and qualitative assessments.
- Evaluate existing website content and recommend which pages should be retained, improved, consolidated, redirected, or removed.
- Organize, clean, merge, and analyze large datasets to identify content gaps, performance trends, inconsistencies, and optimization opportunities.
- Translate complex analytical findings into clear, actionable recommendations aligned with client objectives.
- Design, improve, or automate content analysis workflows using scripts, AI-assisted development tools, and lightweight technical solutions.
- Verify the accuracy of automated outputs and document processes to ensure consistency and usability across project teams.
- Develop website information architecture, navigation structures, content taxonomies, and search-related content requirements.
- Create strategic recommendations for page layouts, content hierarchy, messaging priorities, and user journeys.
- Prepare content prioritization frameworks and implementation guidelines for digital projects.
- Develop professional presentations, reports, and visual materials that communicate research findings and strategic recommendations.
- Present insights and proposed solutions directly to clients, address feedback, and support informed decision-making.
- Collaborate with UX designers, developers, content teams, and other stakeholders to implement approved recommendations.
- Independently manage assigned workstreams while maintaining effective communication with project leadership.
Qualifications and Experience
Applicants should have at least five years of professional content strategy experience, preferably within a digital agency, consultancy, or similar environment.
Candidates should also demonstrate the following qualifications:

- Proven experience evaluating websites containing thousands of pages and developing recommendations from incomplete or unstructured datasets.
- Knowledge of website crawling tools such as Screaming Frog, web analytics platforms, and SEO research software.
- Ability to interpret and combine information from multiple analytics and content research tools.
- Practical experience using AI-powered development tools such as Codex, Claude, or Figma Make to improve workflows, automate tasks, or develop solutions.
- Strong judgment when reviewing AI-generated outputs, validating technical results, and protecting confidential client information.
- Ability to identify inefficient processes and develop improved workflows or technical solutions.
- Understanding of structured data, website architecture, and essential web technologies.
- Familiarity with GitHub and basic programming or scripting languages such as Python, JavaScript, HTML, or CSS is an advantage.
- Excellent analytical thinking, problem-solving, and organizational abilities.
- Strong presentation, storytelling, documentation, and client communication skills.
- Ability to work independently, manage responsibilities effectively, and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
- Confidence joining projects at different stages and quickly understanding existing objectives, requirements, and deliverables.
The final hourly rate will be determined after the interview process based on the successful candidate’s demonstrated experience, technical capabilities, and competencies.
Velir uses a competency-based compensation approach to ensure that pay reflects the skills and expertise required for the position.
Recruitment Process
Shortlisted applicants will be asked to provide examples of previous work demonstrating their ability to analyze complex website content and communicate findings effectively.
Candidates may be requested to submit a content analysis project and a presentation originally prepared for a client.
The next stage involves an interview with the content strategy lead responsible for overseeing the engagement.
During the interview, applicants should be prepared to explain their analytical approach, the tools and workflows they selected or developed, how they validated their findings, and how their recommendations influenced business or project decisions.
Applicants who cannot share original client materials because of confidentiality agreements may submit anonymized examples or provide detailed walkthroughs of relevant projects.
Work Environment and Physical Requirements
This position primarily involves computer-based work, including extended periods of sitting, researching, analyzing information, and preparing digital deliverables.
Reasonable accommodations may be provided to qualified individuals with disabilities to enable them to perform essential job responsibilities.
