Job Summary
SixthLab Medical is seeking a reliable, responsible, and safety-conscious Driver / Logistics & Transportation Officer to support the transportation of staff, medical reagents, equipment, documents, and other company materials.
The successful candidate will primarily provide transportation support to the Sales and Engineering teams, ensuring staff arrive safely and promptly at assigned locations, customer sites, installations, and field appointments.
The role also involves delivering company products and materials to clients, collecting items when required, maintaining proper logistics records, and ensuring the assigned vehicle remains clean, safe, and roadworthy.
Key Responsibilities
- Transport Sales team members to assigned locations, meetings, and field appointments.
- Drive Engineers to customer sites, installation locations, and other assigned work locations.
- Deliver medical reagents, equipment, documents, and other company materials safely and promptly.
- Pick up and return company documents, equipment, materials, and other items when required.
- Assist with the safe loading, unloading, and handling of transported items.
- Plan appropriate routes to ensure timely transportation and deliveries.
- Maintain accurate records of trips, deliveries, fuel consumption, and other logistics activities.
- Ensure delivered items are properly handed over and acknowledged by recipients.
- Keep the assigned vehicle clean, safe, and in good working condition.
- Conduct routine vehicle inspections and promptly report faults or maintenance requirements.
- Comply with traffic regulations and the company’s driving and safety procedures.
- Support other logistics, errands, and operational activities as assigned.
- Maintain a professional attitude and provide courteous service when interacting with clients and employees.
- Protect confidential company information and ensure company materials are handled responsibly.
Requirements
- Minimum of SSCE with 1–2 years of relevant driving experience.
- Must possess a valid Nigerian driver’s licence.
- Proven experience working as a professional or company driver.
- Good knowledge of Lagos roads, routes, and major business locations.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Must be reliable, punctual, honest, responsible, and safety-conscious.
- Ability to work independently and effectively manage multiple trips and assignments.
- Ability to carefully handle sensitive items, particularly medical reagents and equipment.
- Must be willing to work Monday to Saturday and maintain flexible working hours based on business and field requirements.
