Freelance Software Tester
Testlio is a global software testing company supported by an international network of freelance testers. Our freelancers help evaluate applications and digital products for companies around the world.
We provide flexible remote opportunities for people who value the freedom to choose when and where they work.
We are currently seeking freelance software testers based in Germany who own compatible Smart TVs running Titan OS. Selected testers will help evaluate a streaming application during October and November.
To participate, you will need to create an account on the Testlio platform. This account will be used to assign testing opportunities, track defects, and provide the materials and instructions required to complete each testing session.

Requirements
Applicants must be at least 18 years old and physically located in Germany during October and November.
You should be comfortable navigating a streaming application in German, with native or bilingual German proficiency preferred.
Initial account setup takes approximately 30 minutes. Individual testing sessions are expected to take around 2–4 hours, although some assignments may last up to 12 hours. Availability can be discussed before each testing run so that a suitable schedule can be arranged.
You must also have access to a compatible Smart TV running Titan OS, including:
- Philips TV
- Vestel TV
- JVC TV
Please verify your television’s operating system before applying, as some models from these manufacturers may use a different OS. Only devices running Titan OS are eligible for this project.
Previous software testing experience is helpful but not required. Testlio provides free learning resources and a preparatory course for people who are new to software testing.
What You’ll Be Testing
This project focuses primarily on functional testing of a streaming application.
Your responsibilities may include installing application builds on your Smart TV according to provided instructions, executing test cases, and evaluating areas such as:
- Navigation and usability
- Video playback
- Login and account functionality
- Subtitles and audio
- Content discovery
- Localization
- Live events
- Overall application functionality
You may also be required to identify and report bugs with clear reproduction steps, screenshots or recordings, and provide feedback about issues discovered during each testing session.
