Group Director, Client Strategy (Group Media Director)
Wpromote is seeking a highly experienced Group Director, Client Strategy to provide senior-level business leadership and strategic direction across a portfolio of enterprise and high-growth clients. In this role, you will oversee multiple Directors and their respective client portfolios, ensuring exceptional strategic execution, operational discipline, client satisfaction, revenue growth, and profitability. You will operate at both the executive client and organizational levels, serving as a trusted strategic advisor to senior stakeholders while guiding teams toward strong commercial and business outcomes. You will lead integrated, full-funnel marketing strategies across an interconnected media ecosystem spanning paid, owned, and earned channels. This includes ensuring that media planning, audience strategy, creative, measurement, and investment decisions are aligned with clients’ broader business objectives. Beyond client leadership, you will be responsible for developing senior talent, strengthening operational processes, scaling best practices, supporting agency-wide initiatives, and helping shape Wpromote’s strategic direction. Actual compensation may vary depending on factors such as: – Professional skills and expertise – Years and depth of experience – Education and certifications – Competitive market benchmarks – Scope of responsibility – Geographic location – Market conditions – Applicable state salary requirements for exempt employees The overall compensation package also includes the benefits listed above and an annual performance-based bonus. The bonus is influenced by company, departmental, and individual performance. Bonuses are not guaranteed. To qualify, employees must remain active, in good standing, and not be placed on a Performance Improvement Plan. Remote Work & Location Requirements The position can be performed remotely in most U.S. states, although certain states are excluded. Requirements
- Exceptional communication, executive presence, and strategic storytelling skills
- Strong organizational and leadership capabilities, with the ability to build scalable systems, develop high-performing talent, and promote operational excellence
- Proven experience leading strategic components of new-business pitches and proposals
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, or a related discipline, or equivalent professional experience
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience managing enterprise-level clients or complex multi-brand portfolios
- Experience supporting large-scale digital transformation initiatives or evolving integrated marketing programs
- Experience developing agency-level thought leadership, strategic perspectives, or points of view
- Familiarity with AI-powered workflow optimization, automation, and advanced marketing planning tools
- Industry experience in areas such as franchising, national-to-local marketing, apparel, or retail
