Online English Teacher at ESL

Meridian ESL is recruiting on behalf of eHello for motivated and enthusiastic Online English Teachers to provide interactive and engaging English lessons to students from diverse age groups and backgrounds.

The successful candidates will have excellent communication skills, a genuine passion for education, and an interest in helping students improve their English proficiency.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree is required.
• A 120-hour TEFL/TESOL certification is preferred.
• Previous English teaching experience is an advantage.
• Experience working with children or in an educational setting is desirable.
• Ability to teach English online to students of varying ages and proficiency levels.
• Excellent verbal communication skills and an engaging teaching approach.
• Stable internet connection and an appropriate environment for online lessons.
• Professional attitude, patience, enthusiasm, and dedication to teaching.
• Willingness to work within designated teaching schedules, which may be based on Beijing time.

Responsibilities

• Conduct interactive online English lessons that promote student engagement and participation.
• Tailor teaching approaches and lesson delivery to different learning styles and individual needs.
• Assess student development and provide helpful, constructive feedback.
• Keep accurate records of lessons, attendance, and individual student progress.
• Foster a welcoming, encouraging, and supportive virtual classroom environment.
• Maintain effective communication with students, parents, and fellow team members.
• Modify lesson activities and teaching techniques to accommodate different learning abilities.

Skills & Experience

• Previous experience teaching or tutoring English, preferably in an online environment.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to explain concepts effectively.
• Strong background in working with children is highly desirable.
• Ability to customise teaching methods to meet individual student requirements.
• Good organisational, planning, and time management abilities.
• Patient, empathetic, and passionate about supporting students’ academic development.
• Familiarity with virtual teaching platforms and digital learning tools.
