Key Responsibilities

As part of the In-Room Dining team, you will provide attentive and professional food and beverage service to guests throughout their stay. Your responsibilities will include:

• Answering in-room dining calls promptly, professionally, and courteously.
• Taking guest food and beverage orders and recording all details accurately.
• Confirming room numbers, order information, preferences, and special requests.
• Helping guests choose from the menu and providing suitable recommendations.
• Explaining menu items, ingredients, preparation options, and other relevant information when requested.
• Entering guest orders correctly into the POS system.
• Communicating food allergies, dietary restrictions, and special requirements clearly to the kitchen team.
• Coordinating with kitchen and service colleagues to ensure orders are prepared and delivered on time.
• Following up on orders and ensuring guests are satisfied with their dining experience.
• Responding professionally to guest questions, requests, concerns, and complaints.
• Recommending additional food and beverage items when appropriate.
• Maintaining accurate records of orders and relevant guest preferences.
• Following established hotel procedures relating to service, hygiene, health, and safety.
• Maintaining a warm, professional, and friendly manner when communicating with guests by telephone.

Requirements

Candidates should have previous experience in in-room dining, room service, food and beverage service, or a similar hospitality position.

The ideal candidate should possess:

• Good knowledge of food and beverage products and hospitality service standards.
• Excellent verbal communication and telephone etiquette.
• Good command of the English language.
• Basic computer skills and familiarity with POS systems.
• Strong customer service and interpersonal abilities.
• Excellent attention to detail, particularly when recording and processing orders.
• The ability to remain efficient and professional in a busy, fast-paced environment.
• A professional appearance, friendly personality, and positive attitude.
• Flexibility to work different shifts, including weekends and public holidays.
• Additional language skills are considered an advantage.
