We are seeking detail-oriented Transcriptionists and Captioners to accurately convert audio and video recordings into clear, well-formatted written text.

In this role, you will help make digital content more accessible, searchable and useful to audiences around the world. Your work may involve transcribing interviews, podcasts, webinars, meetings and other audio or video materials.

Assignments are delivered through a secure online portal. Depending on the project, you may be required to identify speakers, insert timestamps, add relevant sound cues and carefully proofread completed transcripts before submission.

Most assignments have clearly defined deadlines while still providing flexibility to organize your workload within your scheduled shifts.

This is an entry-level opportunity, making it suitable for applicants with strong listening abilities and fast, accurate typing skills.

No university degree is required, and training is provided to help successful candidates become familiar with the company’s transcription tools, standards and workflows.

Key Responsibilities

  • Transcribe audio and video recordings with a target accuracy of 98% or higher.
  • Add timestamps, speaker identification and appropriate sound cues when required.
  • Produce closed captions for video content using the provided captioning templates.
  • Proofread and edit transcripts for grammar, punctuation, spelling and clarity.
  • Follow client-specific formatting requirements and style guidelines.
  • Complete assigned transcription tasks within established deadlines.
  • Meet daily and weekly productivity targets while maintaining high-quality standards.

Training & Onboarding

Successful candidates will receive structured training during their first two weeks.

Week 1 focuses on platform orientation, transcription style guidelines, practice recordings, feedback and accuracy standards.

Week 2 introduces live assignments with reduced supervision, peer-review sessions and a final transcription accuracy assessment.

After onboarding, team members receive ongoing quality evaluations, monthly calibration sessions and opportunities to complete advanced training for specialized transcription projects, including legal, medical and technical content.

All required training is paid, and transcriptionists will only be assigned content types for which they have received appropriate training.

Requirements

  • Typing speed of at least 40 words per minute (WPM) with strong accuracy.
  • Excellent listening and comprehension skills.
  • Strong knowledge of English grammar, spelling and punctuation.
  • Ability to concentrate on detailed audio content for extended periods.
  • Reliable internet connection and access to a quiet working environment.
  • Ability to work independently and consistently meet deadlines.
  • No degree is required.
  • Previous experience using transcription software or a transcription foot pedal is beneficial but not required.

A typing and accuracy assessment may be required during the recruitment process.
