Job Summary

The Purple Scripts is seeking a highly organized, experienced, and results-oriented Store and Operations Manager to oversee the daily activities of a retail and wholesale business.

The successful candidate will be responsible for supervising employees, coordinating store operations, managing inventory, improving sales performance, and ensuring overall business efficiency and profitability.

The ideal candidate should possess strong leadership abilities, excellent operational management skills, and a proven track record of successfully managing store activities while maintaining high standards of customer service and financial accountability.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee the day-to-day operations of the store, ensuring the smooth coordination of retail and wholesale activities.
• Lead, supervise, train, and evaluate employees, including members of the marketing and accounting teams, to maintain productivity and operational efficiency.
• Manage inventory processes, including stock ordering, receiving, monitoring, and replenishment, while minimizing shortages, wastage, and losses.
• Establish and maintain productive relationships with suppliers, negotiate competitive prices, and ensure timely delivery of goods.
• Develop, implement, and monitor sales targets while identifying opportunities to improve revenue and overall business performance.
• Maintain excellent customer service standards and resolve escalated complaints professionally and promptly.
• Ensure the store maintains an attractive appearance through proper product arrangement, visual merchandising, cleanliness, and organization.
• Collaborate with the accounting team to review sales records, financial reports, expenses, and operational costs to support profitability.
• Develop, implement, and enforce standard operating procedures across store and warehouse operations.
• Monitor employee performance, identify areas requiring improvement, and introduce measures to enhance efficiency.
• Prepare and submit regular operational reports to management, highlighting sales performance, challenges, achievements, and business growth opportunities.

Requirements and Qualifications

Candidates must possess a Bachelor’s Degree or HND in Business Administration, Management, or a related discipline.

• A minimum of 4 years of relevant experience in store management, retail operations, wholesale management, or a similar leadership position.
• Demonstrated experience in supervising employees, coordinating teams, and managing daily business operations.
• Strong understanding of inventory management, stock control procedures, procurement, and supplier relationship management.
• Good financial management skills, including the ability to interpret sales reports, monitor expenses, and manage operational budgets.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.
• Strong decision-making skills with the ability to work independently and handle operational challenges effectively.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and familiarity with inventory management software and Point-of-Sale (POS) systems.
• Ability to establish performance targets, monitor results, and implement strategies that improve business productivity and profitability.

Salary and Benefits

The position offers a competitive monthly salary ranging from ₦400,000 to ₦600,000, depending on the successful candidate’s years of relevant experience, professional competence, and demonstrated achievements in store and operations management.
