Website Developer & Visual Designer at IFM

The Institute of Foundation Models (IFM) is seeking a talented Website Developer & Visual Designer with a strong combination of technical web development expertise and creative design skills.

The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining and optimizing IFM’s website while creating high-quality visual content, including graphics, diagrams, infographics, presentation templates, and short-form videos that communicate the organization’s research and technological innovations.

This is a hybrid technical and creative position for someone who can confidently develop websites, manage digital performance, and create compelling visual experiences that maintain a consistent brand identity.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and maintain the organization’s website, ensuring optimal performance, security, and technical reliability.
• Collaborate with social media and content marketing teams to develop engaging visual content for digital platforms.
• Monitor website speed, accessibility, search engine optimization, and overall technical health.
• Design professional graphics, diagrams, and infographics that simplify complex technical and research concepts.
• Create short-form videos, promotional clips, and motion graphics for social media and marketing campaigns.
• Develop creative ideas and visual formats while keeping up with emerging digital content and social media trends.
• Monitor website analytics, including traffic, engagement, and conversion performance, and provide regular reports.
• Work closely with external design agencies to maintain visual consistency and ensure a smooth transition of design responsibilities.
• Maintain and strengthen IFM’s visual identity across its website, presentations, and digital communication channels.

Requirements and Qualifications

• 7–10 years of relevant professional experience.
• Strong experience in website development, including front-end development and familiarity with back-end systems or content management platforms.
• Excellent graphic and visual design skills, with the ability to adapt designs across different platforms and audiences.
• Advanced proficiency in Figma, including design systems, reusable components, and prototyping.
• Ability to transition comfortably between technical development and creative design responsibilities.
• Experience creating and managing content for platforms such as X, LinkedIn, Instagram, and YouTube.
• Strong understanding of website analytics tools such as Google Analytics and Plausible.
• Experience with short-form video editing and motion graphics.
• A genuine interest in artificial intelligence, technology, open-source innovation, and continuous learning.
